Conference on the Future of Europe: Launch of the Civic Platform on 19 April

At Wednesday's meeting, the Executive Board of the Conference on the Future of Europe continued preparations for the start of the conference. This will allow citizens to present ideas, comment on other people's ideas, create events and participate in them for the first time at EU level. The platform will be the center of the Conference, a place where all contributions to the conference will be gathered and exchanged, including decentralized events, European citizens' panels and plenary sessions. The Executive Board supported a multilingual digital platform that will allow citizens from across the EU to contribute to the conference.
An agreement was also reached on working methods and advanced preparations for the inauguration event on the occasion of Europe Day. The Vice President of the Commission for Democracy and Demography, Dubravka Šuica, stated: The launch of the digital platform within ten days will provide a unique space for the participation of our citizens in talks and debates across Europe.
