Presentations for the World Environment Day were held in primary schools in Karlovac County

In cooperation with the schools of Karlovac County, presentations were held on Friday, June 5, on the occasion of World Environment Day. For this occasion, EDIC Karlovac made presentations on the World Environment Day and on the priority of the European Commission, the European Green Plan. With the European Green Plan until 2050, Europe will become the first climate-neutral continent and boost the economy, improve health and quality of life, protect nature without neglecting anyone. Our way of life should be transformed and we should all start living healthier and working more innovatively. We can all participate in the transition and benefit from the opportunities it brings. If we go first and act fast, we will help our economy to be a world leader. The European Union is determined to succeed because of our planet and life on it, because of Europe's natural heritage and biodiversity, because of our forests and our seas. When we show the rest of the world that it is possible to be sustainable and competitive, we will be able to convince other countries to follow our example.
World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5 every year in more than 140 countries. It is the most important day of the UN's promotion of environmental awareness and action in the field of environmental protection, which was elected at the UN Conference on the Human Environment in Stockholm in 1972, when the decision to launch the UN Environment Program (UNEP) was made.

This year's World Environment Day was celebrated under the slogan "It's time for nature". World Environment Day is celebrated for these reasons in order to raise awareness of a cleaner and more beautiful environment and think in that direction and to make our environment more beautiful and comfortable for life.
The presentations were held at the Grabrik Elementary School and the Krnjak Elementary School, and after presenting what children can do for a more beautiful environment, they translated the learned knowledge into drawings and showed how they can help this EU goal.
