Which are my rights as a consumer?

A.

Related to the protection of consumer rights, we were looking for the answers first at the Europe Direct website, but we also pointed the users to contact the Commissioner for the Protection of Consumer Rights g. Mimica, if necessary, other possibilities were also EU Ombudsman or very strong association for consumer protection in Croatia.

Is my Croatian health insure valid in the European Union?

A.

It was also frequently questions related to health insurance and medical treatment in other EU Member States. First, we indicate users of our EDIC to get the European health insurance card at CIHI in Croatia, as well as to use infos from official websites europa.eu related to health-to be able to find out where to go for treatment and how it all might cost.

How can I get employment in European institutions in Croatia, but also in Brussels, Strasbourg?

A.

We suggested to check regularly tenders published by the European Commission on their official web site and to prepare themselves for extensive EPSO tests - because of the frequent issues and concerns we have invited an expert from Croatia who himself went through EPSO tests to give a lecture and a workshop with examples of tests that can be expected.

How can I find a job in Europe?

A.

The response we gave is to recommend using the services of the EURES portal but also EURES advisors - 4 of them in Croatia – for Karlovac County in charge Zeljko Markovic in Rijeka. Edic Karlovac  due to the great interest and numerous inquiries and considering the current unemployment rate in Croatia but also in other EU member states, organized a lecture in the EDIC-Youth Library in Karlovac.
